EASY FRENCH TOAST RECIPE

Jenny's French toast in our room at the Essex House

Introduction :-

hey guys and welcome back to jiasblogging. Today, I’ll demonstrate how to make French toast, which is a simple and delicious dish that doesn’t require any fancy ingredients or complicated preparation. Sometimes it’s better to keep things simple, and French toast is one of those dishes. Without further ado, let’s begin this recipe. all right …..

Ingredients :-

  • * Eggs – 2 LARGE
  • * Milk – 1/4 cup (half cream or half milk )
  • * Sugar – 1 tsp (granulated sugar)
  • * Cinnamon Powder – a teaspoon or 1/4 t spoon of cinnamon just a pinch
  • * Salt maybe an eighth of a teaspoon or so
  • * Vanilla Extract – quick splash of vanilla
  • * Vegetable oil – 1 tsp
  • * Butter – 1/2 tsp

First thing Making the Batter:-

Obviously I’m going to need a batter for my bread so on a pie plate here I’m just going to crack in * two large eggs and do better than I did and try not to get shells in your eggs uh no one likes crunchy bits on their French toast I’m just going to crack those two eggs into a pie plate and using a fork I’m just going to break these up a little bit before I add the rest of the ingredients uh the reason .

I use a pie plate here because it’s just easier to coat my bread in a large, shallow bowl than it is to coat my eggs.

I’m going to add in *1/4 of a cup of milk you could also use cream or half and half if you’re feeling decadent  I’m going to  *add in 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar as well as and of *a teaspoon or 1/4 t spoon of cinnamon uh just a pinch of *salt maybe an eighth of a teaspoon or so and just a *quick splash of vanilla uh try and use real vanilla extract though and using a fork.

I’m just going to whisk these ingredients together uh just make sure that all the eggs are completely smooth uh the milk kind of helps break up those eggs you don’t want any globules of egg on your French toast you want a smooth batter so uh just whisk that well and let me just talk about bread for a minute here I am using Texas toast uh.

Texas toast is just regular sandwich bread but it is actually k cut thicker than regular sandwich bread um it’s kind of a dry bread crummy bread uh and these particular slices are about  *3/4 of an inch thick and that’s exactly what you want you want a thick bread for this uh and I’m just using this regular sandwich bread you could use bios if you wanted to or French bread you know whatever kind of bread that you like I just happen to like just plain old sandwich bread it just it makes the best French toast to me now I’ve got a frying pan.

Frying: –

Medium-high heat here, it can be medium-high to medium-high. The reason I add the vegetable oil and butter is because I love the taste of frying with butter and butter has a natural non-stick quality but the vegetable oil increases the temperature of the butter and the butter definitely doesn’t burn because you don’t want to burn your French toast on the grill, you probably do that but I don’t, so I do both, make sure your butter and oil are heated before you get the first piece of French toast on.

Otherwise it will come together and you don’t want it to stick together either and you know it’s ready when the solid butter in the solid butter starts to turn brown, but they’re just starting to turn brown and that’s it. Make sure the cinnamon doesn’t stay on the bottom and gently place the bread on one side and flip it again and spread it on the other side and let it drain a little bit and add it to the pan, now a lot.

French skewer Si’s recipe calls for you to soak the bread, I don’t like soaked bread for French toast, maybe you do, I don’t, uh, I like my French toast without custard, I like the bread still cooked in the middle, so I’m going to put a thin layer on both sides and let it sit for a few minutes until the bottom is nice and hot, don’t try to move your bread. When you turn it over the bubbles on the outside will start to shrink and they won’t pop as hard, so you can let the pan do its thing and the heat do its thing.

Then you can go ahead and make sure it’s a nice golden brown color. And then you can go ahead and move on to the coating pan and add a little bit of butter and vegetable oil in the middle of each piece and then you can go ahead and fry the rest of the French toast. This mixture uses two eggs for me. dirk slices That’s enough toast, that’s ideal for me and my friend, so I like to go ahead and French toast all the slices before I go. If you get more of a smell, sprinkle some syrup or powdered sugar on top. You can serve them with a little bowl of fresh fruit, which is delicious.
